Academic Day 2017

Academic Day 2017 is a full day event organised by Academic Liaison Cell of the NUS Students’ Computing Club. It aims to introduce the student life in School of Computing to our incoming freshmen.

The event will include talks and booths on academic essentials as well as extra-curricular programmes etc.

Data Science Students Challenge

This is a global series of hackathons designed by Microsoft to support the growth and development of the data science community worldwide.

Opportunities are provided for the next generation of data scientists to tackle real world problems with real world data using the latest analytical tools.

Java Confidence Course

Targeted at freshmen and Java amateurs, this workshop aims to familiarise students with the Java programming language and object oriented programming (OOP) concepts in the language.

This workshop also hopes to serve as a stepping stone to their data structure modules.

Mock Practical Exam

The Mock Practical Exam will smoothen the freshmen’s transition into the programming practical examination environment in NUS, in particular those who have no such prior experiences.

Students will gain confidence in their upcoming practical examinations and they are likely to perform better in these examinations.
